Page 1 from one of the first comics I published. In 1997 I was still trying to find a style of my own, and I drew using big sheets of paper for these comics. In those early days, I didn't have a scanner, nor remotely a computer, so I remember I had to send the actual originals to the US magazines via package services! The editors scanned the papers, used them and then they sent the originals back to me!

Yeah, it was that convoluted. 

Present artists have it all so easy these days...

Of course, if their digital tools like, say, an Apple Pencil, have their parts functioning properly. Or get spare parts correctly.
