For years, I've been reviewing Enterprise GPUs and Servers for their use in homelabs, and even sometimes for gaming. But Machine Learning and AI is the modern application for all that power. Consumers and Corporations alike are benefiting off the technology, but Artists are the ones who make Image Generation possible, and they haven't been compensated for their contributions... more often than not, without that work is used without permission either.

Ethically, I'm torn on the subject, as the technology is incredibly intriguing, but artists should also always be paid for their work. But as these AI images aren't creating direct copies, merely taking inspiration from millions of sources, is there even a complaint to be made FROM the artists themselves?
