Some WIPs from a BIG commission! (Patreon)

I thought it would be nice to show you some wips of a commission I just finished yesterday (the last picture is the final result), it is a HUGE illustration and I spent a lot of time working on every little detail (you know me hahaha). Needless to say the result was definitely worth it! I'm inlove with it ~ 💗🌼 Plus, Beck (the purple guy) is a character I've been commissioned to draw many times before and I've grown particularly fond of him ヾ(^▽^*))) 

PS: for this commission I used a technique similar to watercolor for the background and I couldn't be happier with this desition. At first I was afraid that the background, being as detailed as it is, would blend with the characters in a messy way and my goal was to make them pop out, they should be the center of attention after all. That's why I went for lighter colors and a softer rendering, darkening only the elements that were closer to the camera to achieve a sense of depth. It also ended giving the whole painting that illustrated book look that I absolutely adore. This is also a reminder that sometimes you just gotta trust the process, it'll be alright I promise ( ´･･)ﾉ(._.`)
