Okay guys! I've been promising you this for a long time, so before I forget again, here's a summary of the most relevant aspects of the story I've been developing so far:

(Although there is more background information, these are the elements that I have refined the most)

Main characters:

Pluto: A young monarch/governor of a northern country called Galea. He was accused of committing a murder, tried and sentenced to death even though he was actually innocent. He decides to escape his sentence in order to find the person who framed him and thus prove his innocence.

Victoria: A lost girl who doesn't remember anything but her name. She is chased and harassed by people who call her an "exchanged" and seek to capture her. On her way, she meets Pluto and since he is the only person who has not tried to harm her, she decides to travel with him until she discovers her identity and place of origin.

Other characters I've developed... :

Mercury: Governor of Lavastrife. He is one of the characters with special genetics and has an unknown condition that weakens his heart. His blood is highly toxic and several people have died from being exposed to it.

Rigel: An ethereal and mysterious entity that only manifests itself before Mercury. Nobody knows who they are or where they come from, but the appearance of other specters like this one gives rise to many religious beliefs throughout the planet.

Eryn: Pluto's advisor and Galea's representative in external affairs.

Saturn: Emperor of Lavawa. Holds a great grudge against Pluto since the incident in which his wife was murdered. Blinded by hate and grief, he believes Pluto's guilty.

Mimas: Saturn's wife. She was "murdered by Pluto".

Europa: A tall, athletic woman. Jupiter's daughter and Pluto's ex-girlfriend. In her culture, open relationships and polyamory are regular, and these do not represent anything negative. However, this would make her relationship with Pluto somewhat... shaky.

Jupiter: One of the leaders of the Besar Hutan tribes. He is not actively part of the alliance but does get involved on certain occasions.

The world:

I don't have a name for this world yet, but here you can see the map. Some things may change but this is the version with which I am most happy.

Politically, Galea has positive relationships with Lavawa, Guthet, Maa Rahu, and Lavastrife. In fact, all of these countries/continents share an important military and economic alliance.

The person who died "killed by Pluto" was part of the court of Saturn (emperor of Lavawa). This event would weaken the alliance to such an extent that Lavawa would break relations with Galea, closing its borders. The crime, being an international matter, would be mediated by Mercury (governor of Lavastrife), the most neutral person in the alliance (appointed by the other governors).

Exchanged: They are people who, like Victoria, have lost part of their memory or remember having lived in other worlds. In most countries, they are persecuted for being considered erexes or disturbed/evil entities. On the contrary, in some places they are considered as enlightened beings or portals between different realities. Much like in real life, every action and believe derives from the little knowledge that society has about the origin of these people and the fear of the unknown.

Relationship between the protagonists:

The relationship between Pluto and Victoria starts off being somewhat unstable. After all, he recognizes her as one of the so-called "exchanged" and doesn't have much confidence in her. Victoria can sense Pluto's bias towards her and this leads to occasional arguments and awkward situations. As the two get to know each other better, Pluto realizes that not only is Victoria reliable and a formidable survivor, but she has also become invaluable to him. Victoria begins to open up more and share her feelings with Pluto. Let's say that both go from having a closed and defensive attitude to fully trusting the other and supporting each other in the most difficult scenarios. The growth of the relationship helps Victoria find determination and focus on uncovering her past and Pluto to become the owner of his own decisions and fight to defend his innocence to the end.

Well... definitely there's still a lot I have to tell you but these are the basics :') I also tried to be as spoiler-free as I could hahaha

I'll keep you updated~

Jess

I think this worldbuilding is really neat, and that it would be a rich setting for the story you want to make! I'm excited to see more of it down the line, but no rush of course. :)
