The actress playing Coloratura is Lena Hall. Unsure how famous she is, but she made a YouTube video reacting to her episode. Like you two did. In that reaction she said Daniel Ingram (the guy composing almost all MLP songs). Tried to parody show how over the top and sometimes downright stupid, commercial songs have become. By adding auto tuning, tons of flashy lights and everything else they do. His idea of the first song was supposed to be a parody of all that and just be bad. The only problem with that is ... I'm not sure Daniel Ingram CAN make BAD songs. So actually it turned very good too.

I'm with Mackenzie, this is one of my favorites from season 5. There is both redemption, and not-redemption. Also, great casting for Coloratura, and a good lesson. Regarding AJ stepping over the line, well... yeah. Family and close friends are worth stepping over the line because you love them. I didn't see any objection to AJ stepping in to help Pinkie when Svengallop was abusing her. But Ra-Ra wasn't all that close of a friend. On the other hand, AJ is, well, AJ, and she's going to do what she feels is right regardless of the personal cost.
