River’s sorrow over the last kiss breaks my heart. I think she assumed from the Doctor flirting with her, not to mention showing concern for her well-being, that they were on more intimate terms. She even referred to the Doctor as “my old fellow” to Rory, which I don’t think she would have said had she known the Doctor wasn’t her “old fellow” yet. I just want River Song to be happy.
