I still think this and the last movie are much better take on "Sleeping beauty" then the old movies! :) This second movie came out on October 2019. Just a few months, before the pandemic grounded almost everything to a halt. Thus there haven't been other movies after ... yet! Tho the public loved this one as well. So there is a chance for new one in the future. However this movie is a great undertaking. New one is optimistically predicted for 2024 or later. Should Disney decide to make a third one! Tho if they make a new one, I can't imagine where they will go from here. Still I taught the same at the end of the first one and they found a way. To expand both the lore of the story and the world around it The best part for me at least was the Phoenix at the end. Just personal preferance. When they showed a phoenix earlier and I immediately taught we have to see it till the end. They HAVE to do it, if they showed it! :) Otherwise like the first movie this one too had it's highs and lows in my enjoyment level. Not big fan of the trickery and manipulation the queen was creating. Just to follow HER own twisted idea of the world. In the end Maleficent was recognized as the real mother. Like she has been throughout Aurora's entire life. Weather she admits it or not at points in time..
