It's too bad you didn't get a chance to experience this movie when it first came out. Tron really influenced me to develop my computer skills, and I made my living as a computer programmer for several years. You're right about there being a lot of story (and 20 years of real time!) between the original movie and Tron: Legacy, which they explained quickly at the beginning of the latter. I definitely recommend going back and watching it again, now that you have the backstory. There was a one-season animated series Tron: Uprising two years after Legacy that took place in the same canon, with some character (and voice actor) overlap. I enjoyed it, but not enough to give it a strong recommendation. Interestingly, Bruce Boxleitner (Tron/Alan) and Peter Jurasik (the program Flynn beats on the ring game) came together 10 years after Tron in one of my all-time favorite TV series, Babylon 5. I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you're ever thinking about adding another series to your already crazy schedule, please do consider it. It ran five seasons of 22 episodes, with a 90 minute pilot, and there were a few movies. I've been scouring Patreon and Youtube looking for reactors who have never seen it before. Keep up the great content! I know it's a ton of work, but I have faith in you. You're building something here that is a bit "out of the box" as you say, but has great momentum. Thank you!

Hey David, yeah! I totally do wish I had seen it in its original theatrical release. I bet it was truly mind-blowing to see something like this for the first time! It's funny how much of an impact that movies can have on us! I totally get that!
