Content

There are a lot of behind the scenes things that happen between posts - In most cases this process is creating custom content that can’t be purchased as off the shelf assets, OR assets that are purchased and then need to be severely edited to fit the needs of our stories (kitbashing).

This kitbashing term was coined by the original ILM artists while working on the 1977 Release of Star Wars, where by they would take hundreds of model kits and pick parts from here or there to create whatever prop/vehicle they needed for the movie.

In the instance of the photo above I wanted to show the changes in musculature from David’s start to where he is currently in our story.

I used a stock image of a medical HUD to be placed on a 3D prop of a tablet. I took a copy of David’s muscular 3D model and re textured it with anatomical muscles and then rendered it. I then took a version of David from where he started and did the same.

After this was completed, I loaded the images into photoshop and used different blending modes to find the look I wanted, that would clearly show the differences in his muscular structure and combined it with the stock HUD photo to create a seamless image.

Custom content creation, such as mine, to produce a superior product takes time and I wanted to share this little snippet as an example of the things that go into gymjunkiemuscle comics.

This is super cool to know. I love looking behind the curtain.

That anatomical model looks like something from Attack on Titan. :D
