One of the perks of the $10+ tier is WIP posts on my process, etc. Most of the time, I move too quickly to remember to do this. However, I have some things I would like to share about this comics production. In the future, these posts will be locked to the particular rewards tier to which they apply.

Here is a sneak peek at some of the next sequence of images. I'm particularly proud of this image below:

I successfully blended TWO 3D models to appear as if the Venom symbiote was pulling back and turning into clothing before Karl wakes up to see Davy. Blending the symbiote to a naked body (as in the first comic) was simpler, as it followed the contours of the character's body. Making it seem like the symbiote was turning into clothing was a different thing altogether. Notice also that the leather forming from the symbiote is still the same color as the symbiote itself; a fun little added touch. I'd say it turned out nicely!

The next bts image I'd like to feature is this one of Karl turning to see Davy kneeling over him:

The bruising and blood on Karl's face were hand painted on the texture in Photoshop, using real black eye photos as a reference. I wanted to get the pinks and blues placed correctly to be accurate to what really happens when someone is punched in the face.

If you zoom in, you'll also see that I was able to add a fractured glass element to the side of his glasses that were hit in the impact.

That's all I have for now, but as I continue producing, I look forward to more Behind-the-scenes posts like this! I love sharing my completed projects with you, but I also thought it would be beneficial for you to see the level of detail that I put into the production of these comics as well.
