So, it's becoming more apparent every day that I will need to upgrade/overhaul my art setup soon. I'm currently working with a 2015 Macbook Pro which is several OS updates behind at this point. I've been unable to update because the new OS doesn't work with my (admittedly old) art software. My certificates are invalid which makes browsing the internet risky and also a real pain...

I need a new laptop. And I might as well replace my Cintiq because I've had a lot of problems with it. I'm interested in trying out the Huion Kamvas, but it requires a newer OS than what I'm working with. More reason to get a new laptop, haha.

So, I have 2 options as far as I can tell: A. Admit defeat and subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud so I can continue to use Illustrator and Photoshop to draw or B. Learn a new program. I honestly don't want to do either of these things because I don't want to pay monthly for CC (and have also heard it kinda sucks) or learn something new (because I'm a dinosaur and learning new things is hard). That being said, I did buy Clipstudio Paint a while back. I've just been waiting until I get a new set up to try it out. It's very comparable to PS so I think I can pick it up pretty easily, but it's not a substitute for Illustrator so that's a bit of a bummer for me.

Anyway, I just wanted to drop a line for y'all to let you know what's going on behind the scenes because it *may* affect my output. My current plan is to have both laptops/tablets operational at the same time so I can be learning the new setup/software but still have access to my current stuff so I can try to keep up my usual schedule. However, I can't predict how any of this will go so I may end up taking some time off to work through it. If that happens though, I will try to give y'all a head's up well in advance.

Thanks so much for your patience and support! I hope things go smoothly! I will keep you all updated through the process.
