I got a couple ideas  -corpse of a dead Kaiju being piloted, either by a type of fungus, or possibly reanimated by machinery

During World War I, there were many events covered up by the various government organizations at play, with none more greatly covered up than the Martian Invasion of 1918. During this time, strange lights were seen over the Western front leading up to what would be known as the Kaiserschlacht, also known as the German Spring Offensive, or the Ludendorff Offensive. Information was greatly covered up during this time and altered due to the actual events that played out, as several burning objects fell from the atmosphere and crashed, with two of the objects landing in Germany, one in the Argonne forest in France.

With the Germans reaching many of these locations first, they salvaged equipment from these strange, badly damaged spacecrafts of unknown origin and held the sites as important locations. Soon after however several more objects fell from the sky, however these did not crash, and instead seemed to be in pursuit of what had fallen. Massive mechanical walkers that descended upon the land and destroyed soldiers on both sides with incredible death rays. They went in search of the crashed ships to take back what lie within, and it is still a mystery to this day exactly what happened during these events as many died and others were sworn to secrecy. Regardless, in the end it resulted in the events that would lead to the end of the war, and a massive push that led to the Battles of the Meuse-Argonne to retrieve the technology and destroy the Martian invaders that had taken residence in that location. Only through stealing their own tech and using it against them were the humans able to win, and due to the vast expenditures from both sides it lead to the end of the war.

In the years following there were technological booms as the tech was utilized by all sides of the war to increase their capabilities, leading to the drastic increase in strength by WWII and the outlandish methods of combat that were covered up during the war by the Germans. However they were not the only side to utilize this strange technology to fight against their enemies.

The Soviet Union had done many experiments on it's soldiers through various means, with support from Britain and the U.S. alike in attempts to create super soldiers through the reactivation of latent genes within the human genome in what would be called the "Svyatogor" project, named after Svyatogor, a giant warrior in Russian mythology. These Svyatogor were humans with Nephilim ancestory that were having their genetic ancestry remembered and brought to the surface to change them into bloodthirsty giants. Much of this project was a failure as most of the subjects were either killed or couldn't be properly used, however several subjects were able to be utilized, including several dinosaurs collected within the Hollow Earth. Much of this was overseen by the scientist Franz Zimmerman, a captured Nazi commander that they had all called Commander Molitov due to his penchant for burning the battlefield regardless of weather or not his own forces were still there, raining hell on them with an early form of Napalm created through reverse engineering the fuel from the Martian ships.

The most successful war machine to come out of the Svyatogor project was the Svyatogor units 1-6, also known as the C-34-85. Initially seen as a failure, these Nephilim were used in the battlefield and slain, however they were revived through the use of various technologies and outfitted with machinery to become deadly cyborgs. Outfitted with T-34-85 tank turrets, and a rocket launcher system that would predate what would go on to be the S-400 Triumf or SA-21 Growler in the modern day, utilizing guidance systems created using the martian technology and their knowledge of bombs at the time, able to launch up to 6 simultaneous bunker buster missiles with relative accuracy. Unit 3, as depicted here, possessed a chainsaw attachment to it's arm, as well as a large scale grasping claw which could be fired like a grappling hook t drag objects, buildings or other large creatures into it's chainsaw. On it's other arm it was outfitted with a massive whip that generated over 20,000 volts of electricity and super heated to tear through buildings and enemy vehicles, but could also be quickly swung to deflect projectiles. Finally it possessed one of the Martian Death Rays on it's head below the turret which was built into it's optic sensors, allowing it to occasionally fire a devastating blast of explosive energy from it's eye. This beam weapon would agitate the molecules in a line and cause what was essentially a nuclear blast to erupt forward and destroy anything in it's path. This nuclear death ray could vaporize humans and melt vehicles, and needed to recharge for roughly 1 minute after each use.

Though Units 1, 2, and 6 were deployed and destroyed during WWII, Units 3, 4, and 5 were not put into operation beyond the final battles of the war, with Unit 6 being brought down during the battle of Berlin, and Units 3, 4, and 5 being put into operation during this time for the first time.

Though the machines of the Svyatogor project were put into a sort of suspended animation after the war, they were occasionally utilized in covert operations for years afterward, with Unit 4 being utilized and lost during the Soviet-Afghan war in the 80's against the Mujahideen.

The most recent sighting of a Svyatogor unit, unit 005, was in 2015, when in a strange sequence of events, the unit activated on it's own after 70 years almost to the day, the unit broke free of the facility holding it in place and began to go on a rampage across the siberian wilderness. The Magicheskiye Ubiytsy (M.U.) Division of the former KGB (now FSB), joined forces with the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in England to attempt to bring it down, however after they were unsuccessful and it wiped out a large portion of the town of Ozyorsk, they called in backup from members of H.E.R.O. (Hostile Entity Removal Operations) in America, along with Rhapsody from the Vatican, in a joint effort coordinated by Fantasia of the U.N. and finally took the machine down. They didn't know exactly what it was attempting to do, and in the end they required the use of Unit 3 to defeat it.

Unit 3 is said to have been decommissioned since then, however evidence that it has been used along with a potential secret units 7-9 to do expeditions into the hollow earth have been reported by conspiracy sites...
