Meaty's Burger Child (Patreon)

Here we have the Burger Child, or A Burger Child as there are definitely more than one of these guys. They are the mascot for Meaty's Burger Child, an inter-dimensional restaurant that travels around from place to place selling fast food and doing other... things.

Meaty's Burger Child does everything in the name of their queen, the Fleshmother Meagght'Ie who wishes to make all of the universe a part of her unified flesh. She does this by feeding her flesh, and her seed to the universe and growing her young within them so they may burst fourth and consume the world.

Meaty's will appear in a location, usually having a small McDonalds looking building crop up in a town somewhere, and hiring people nearby to serve their food. Creatures eating their food will become increasingly addicted to the food and will rapidly put on weight as they slowly make the town Obese... and eventually they all burst and free an unholy slurry of wriggling beasts across the land to continue the process.

There are many different creatures and things working for Meaty's which include horrific living and shambling animatronics and many creatures made of meat.

All of their advertising is sort of disjointed and makes little sense, as they don't fully understand english and do their best to mimic it.

There's a lot more to it but that's the basis for it... Really it's the culmination of a bunch of ideas I had that just all sort of started to slop together into one. So Since I actually know where all of my inspirations came from for this idea, I thought I'd list em all so you can see where I get my inspiration from for some of these things I do.

The creature initially was conceived because of a friend of mine forgetting the name of the fast food restaurant "Big Boy" and just calling him "The Burger Child", and I thought that sounded like some creepy food mascot.

And just like how the restaurant is called Frish's Big Boy, I thought Meaty's Burger Child sounded fun and creepy, getting the idea from Mr. Meaty's that creepy ass T.V. I was also heavily inspired by Chubby Cheese from Dexter's lab as he's a gross food mascot.

But also was also given inspiration by Invader Zim's disgusting restaurants such as Bloaty's Pizza Hog and MacMeatie's. And finally the Kelp Shake episode of Sponge Bob as well as all of their disgusting food from episodes like Nasty Patty and stuff.

I got the broken English of their menu from Chinese restaurants around my town, and from this burger place I went to in Washington D.C. I believe called Goody Burger. It had things on the menu that said stuff like "Burger of Onion $460 Have it for go" or "Fish eats the bread 650000" And there was a sign there that said "Have it good" and the place always seemed alien to me.

And finally the movie Slither was heavily influencing to me for the entire thing.

A lot of people ask me if the Burgrr Entries are a heavy influence to me for this since it has a super similar premise (Inter dimensional meat themed restaurant, Weird broken English, creepy burger guy, Turn humans into incubators for their young, trick people into eating the food and turn them into creatures, Obviously some sort of eldritch entity), and they are definitely an inspiration now days, though I didn't really know about them in the initial days of putting together lore for it, though now that I am quite familiar with it I do actively try to avoid doing anything else too similar since the concepts in general are pretty close and I'm not trying to jack anyone's stuff here. (I did specifically reference them one time though because I put "Coak" on the menu lol).
