This week the CAS/Arty option won by more than double the next most voted for option so I've spent the morning thus far blowing things up with aircraft.

A bit like the last short, this was an opportunity to try and refine the format a bit. So it's a 'payload demo' of sorts, where I've got a load of targets out on the range and go through them being targetted by different weapons.

I did start with Tornado IDS's dropping 500lb bombs in Shock Force, but they are kinda underwhelming unless they get a direct hit (what with CM evidently not modelling blast/shrapnel effects tremendously well). So I switched over to Cold War and sicked some A-10s on a Forward Security Group.

That made for 4 weapons to show off- 30mm cannon, Maverick ATGM, 500lb HE bomb and 500 cluster bomb. The tricky part to work on is that the A10 only ever seemed to attack from the same direction (the rear, which was also the closest map edge) and that every now and again it missed. The misses are in (because 'splosions) but I'm afraid once again the 500lb HE bomb was underwhelming.

That means that this week we're back to WW2 for the poll: as always, the last option gets taken out of the mix and you can vote for more than one and I'm open to suggestions in the comments.

In other news, I am just about finished with the script for the Sherman Unit Guide- Shermans are a bit of nightmare really, with variants of variants, so I've gone in a slightly different direction to usual and really focused down on the important bits. I'm aiming to get it done for you guys on Friday, but I'm not 100% sure when I'm going to be able to do any recording this week so... fingers crossed.

Also in other news, I launched the Youtube channel membership over the weekend. In short, it boils down to Youtube supporters getting videos when I upload them (rather than on 1700 on a Friday) and having little icons next to their names. The options are a bit more limited on YT and I don't want to duplicate what I do over here so, but it's another option.

I also remembered that switching from per video to monthly over here on Patreon is an irreversible change I have to contact Patreon for, so... that's probably more of a PITA than it's worth.

Anyway, time's getting on. I need to give that Sherman guide script a good going over...
