And oh boy, it's the longest War Room episode yet! And after I cut plenty to boot.

This is one of the more interesting campaigns of the Peloponnesian War and it really has a bit of everything except the clash of hoplite phalanxes that Greek warfare was centred on. I skimped out on a lot of concluding tactical analysis because it was simply going to be too long, but I think its a much more accurate recounting of events (or Thucydides' recounting of events) than some videos I've seen on Youtube.

In other news- the first Tournament Guide video Slitherine have asked me to do has gone up this week. They're after 4 overall, which will keep me busy in the background, plus they gave me a huge shoutout in their livestream at the Home of Wargamers event, which I really appreciate (I doubt I'll ever get used to people saying nice things about me).

On the poll front... obviously this week's poll was just daft so I'm probably going to just ignore it, finish off publishing Poll 4's winners this week, post the two unloved shorts next week to purge the poll, then kick off a new one with 4 options (Poll 5's, plus two more).

In future, it might be best to do the polls every fortnight, uploading the winners in the first week and the losers in the second week- that way there aren't any leftover options that fall by the wayside every week in favour of the new hotness.

Peering into the pipeline- I've started planning out the next Scottish Corridor mission, the not-all-worryingly-named 'Crescendo of Doom'. Defending Grainville against a Battalion of SS with tank support... should be interesting. Plenty of infantry and tanks to hold on with, though no TRPs and late arriving artillery is going to knock out one of the legs of the combined arms triangle for a bit.

We'll see. Should be carnage for one or both sides,

Have you ever thought about releasing your war rooms in audio only form?

Oh God yes. The first one was audio only, but there was a little backlash in the YT comments and there are certainly things like maps that make putting things across easier. There is, I guess, more flexibility as well- it's audio only if you don't watch it right?
