Phew, luckily making this sped up once the Allies hit the beach and I could start relying more on maps! Trying to find the right imagery for the right thing and changing subjects multiple times a minute is a right pain.

Not that I'm 100% happy with the map I ended up using: it's the best I could find, but still a bit low res. I did try making a copy, but it just wasn't worth it.

At least the next video in the line-up should be a quick editor one, which should get me back on track, right on time for the week after to derail things again.

Anyway, enjoy part of D-Day that you may well have never heard of! I'm going to go and crash.

Thanks Hapless, very informative vid. I've been trying to think of a way of (digitally) wargaming the sort of planning you describe. The best I can come up with is Command Ops 2 - do you have any other suggestions?

I honestly don't know (mostly because my digital wargaming experience is pretty much confined to CM- not sure there's space in my head for much else these days). I think in a lot of ways the depth of planning (and thus follow-on reaction) somewhat defies digitisation- best running it past a human.
