Aaand Infantry Firepower has come out on top again! We've done US Rifles, German Grenadiers and British Rifles in the WW2 series so far... I was about to suggest it was time to try some of the wackier units but actually we're missing the Soviets, which should be interesting (not least because I'll need to replicate the test range in Red Thunder).

That's for Wednesday obviously, the project for the rest of this week shouldn't be another AAR, like I indicated back on Friday: we're actually due another Basics video. Could be interesting to try and visualise engagement ranges so I might have to go outside and find some interesting terrain again. Or just use this:

You can just about see out to 4.5km, which is the limit of TOW range and about the maximum you'd ever get on a Combat Mission map.

With any luck, that should be a straightforward video and I'll be able to work on some other stuff too.

That just leaves this weeks poll, where we're back to the modern era and infantry firepower is out, leaving us Armour Penetration and Arty/CAS.

If you do the IRL engagement ranges video, you should absolutely add in some kind of graphical representation of how large/visible a man-sized target at different ranges would be.

Good point. The tricky part is doing the maths to get the size right. Mostly I've used points where there are human sized references like walls, doors and windows nearby.
