Ok, so... first of all I should hopefully be able to get a video out this week. I managed to polish the Slitherine video off on Friday, so that's where last week's effort went.

I'm leaning on playing Drop Zone P again... but in Black Sea.

Map conversion has been on the cards for a while now and it's a really useful way to port maps from one CM title to another (except CMSF2 because it's awkward like that). Turns out that when you tweak maps between games, it carries all the other data across too.

So when I ported Drop Zone P into Black Sea to see what it looked like, I found that all the scenario data (objectives, AI Plans and Groups etc) came with it. Forces were borked, because the game is reading off different tables, but that's an easy enough fix.

In other words, it's actually entirely plausible to play Drop Zone P 2017 and compare and contrast it to Drop Zone P 1945. Which would be super interesting! The downside is that I've played the scenario before and now messed with it in the editor, so there are no surprises this time but... still worth it given the alternate focus I think.

Over to the Polls, WW2 Artillery and CAS won out this time- I'm with Jester96 on this one I think: it's time to unleash the P47 swarm! Must remember to set the sky condition to overcast so that the tracers are easier to see... and hope that doesn't interfere too much with the CAS targeting.

Of course, that means that it's time for a new poll- back to the modern stuff we locked some AT teams in a confined space for a TacAI Response last time, so we're on for Armour Penetration, Modern Infantry Firepower and an Artillery/CAS Demo this time round.

As usual, you can vote for more than one option and I'm always open to suggestions!
