I always like this episode. Any episode where they take on a societal issue is great. yes, pineapple is popular on burgers in certain places, notably Hawaii. If you hear something has pineapple on it, people will almost always think it was invented in Hawaii, lol. I've also seen it on some burgers from South America (Colombia notably).

it just feels like the idea or concept of the episode superseded the comedic writing. same with that lady boggs reboot. they used to be great at social commentary season 12 and prior. something changed this season. the gang's interactions also feel weird and forced. like they're reading their script rather than how natural their dialogue in the past just flowed. and really, why are they all wearing tropical shirts and going to a jimmy buffet concert? yes i'm generalizing but it's true only people age 60+ do that. fuckin weird as hell. it's like they hired someone new who is subtly shaping the show to match their ideology vs making fun of all sides in old south park style. actually i think that's what happened
