Fun bit of trivia/continuity, the guys who beat up Charlie (after asking if it’s a hate crime) are the same guys that chase Mac for the hate crime of hitting “the tranny” in season 1 episode 4.

FYI, the Phillies fans are known for throwing batteries at players and booing Santa Claus...among other things. When the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl, one of the fans drove a dune buggy up the steps that were in the first Rocky movie.

Phillies fans are so nuts that when they were in the World Series, the city had all the light posts and traffic lights greased so they couldn't climb them.

The philly stadiums for the longest time were the only ones in any sports league to have a jail and courthouse on premises for immediate arraignment. Often local fans were released with warnings and the visiting team fans were charged to the fullest extent. Philly is a shithole for various reasons. The ways their sports team fans act is just a very small part of it.
