So yeah, this was a great episode. Want to just address a couple things you've brought up - Yes, I think I've seen an edit where they put stuff in chronological order. No idea where it is, this was prob 10 years ago. The reason that they gave for killing 24 off is that the voice actor, Jackson Publick, one of the creators, got sick of doing a Ray Romano impression. lol You brought up that you find the season openers/finales confusing sometimes. This is due to the way Doc and JP write the seasons - they actually write the majority of the season first, then write the opener and finale after everything else. This results in Doc and JP often having a list of things they need to accomplish in the opener/finale, based off what they've already written. Which means they end up feeling very busy, because of all they need to get done in order for the rest of the season to make sense.

This is definitely one of the hardest episodes to follow, if not THE hardest to follow. Now that you know what the CGC Rating is, you can use that to help figure out where you are chronologically within the narrative. It's all based on Marvel #1, which was a few short stories like "The Human Torch" and "The Submariner"...which you see pop up in the episode. There are other visual cues in the episode that give hints as to where you are within the narrative...Brock's jacket, Hanks hair, Brock's hair, Hatred's face paint. I think Doc and Jackson overreached a bit in their ambition for this episode, but now that you get what's going on, you can watch it again and follow it a lot easier. You might find a chronological edit of it, but you shouldn't really need it now that you understand what's happening. Just watch it another time or two. I'll refrain from saying more and not risk spoiling anything for you.

It helps when you realize that all the scenes with Brock in it go in chronological order, and all the scenes without him go in reverse order. Except for the end credits scene.

Will Fly

I'd never noticed that...that's interesting. I'm not sure that's true though. Are you sure all the scenes with Brock are in chronological order?

This is definitely an episode you have to watch multiple times. Obviously the CGC rating is the timeline for the episode.

Syphonics

Yeah I just went through the capsule for the episode on mantiseye.com, it holds up.

Will Fly

Definitely. It's like drinking from a fire hose. There's just too much to try and take in with one viewing.

I am going to tell you something you don't want to hear. 24 was a boring character. You only liked him because you would stop the video 37 times an episode so you could imitate his voice. :p

I loved how happy Hank was to see Brock, but also how pissed off he was at him. This was great character development for Hank.

Henchman Twenty1

Maybe on his own he was dull, but he worked as a duo with 21. I think there was a chance the guys were going to bring him back. We saw several other henchmen get decapitated in the battle, and 24 and them all look the same. At the next con Doc and JP even said that it would be crazy to kill him off for good as he was part of a duo, and it would be like killing Laurel or Hardy. But then they seemed to get annoyed as the fans were all focusing on 24 and not the fact that Brock quit or H.E.L.P.er got blown up, So they possibly altered their plans. It did provide and interesting development path for 21 though.
