I was about to tell you it's a parody of the whole televangelist thing, but as I was writing it you noticed it. I don't necessarily think it's against the norm because they're twins and in tv shows usually twins get along, or the exact opposite. Also yes, Gideon is a kid at around the same age.

I hadn't thought about the fact most of your fans are outside the UK, I'd have figured you'd have a bigger fan base in the UK, but then again you are watching mostly American shows or shows popular in America like My Hero Academia. I'm an anime nerd but even I'm surprised how big it's gotten, it's very well written though I think it's the foundation of the new Big 3. In American anime terms the big 3 were One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach as major successes. Though the new big 3 are Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, and Black Clover. One Piece isn't included as it's the King of all anime.

sorry to be commenty but this is what I meant by they sprinkle hints of an overarcing story line. Don't worry no dip in quality may have episodes that aren't as good as others but that's just how things go. Honestly I think that's one thing you guys across the pond do right is limited number of episode per season (series). Another cool show you might like is Umbrella Academy, not saying to react to it but it's a great show on Netflix.

I think you're thinking of a revival. Yes. Gideon's little show is very similar. The Pines twins are based off the creator and his twin sister. Yes, Gideon is a bit younger than Dipper and Mabel. His hair isn't grey, it's 'platinum blonde.' Fun fact: The club where Dipper talks to Gideon is based off of Twin Peaks. Yes. There are indeed codes at the end of every episode and sometimes spread throughout as well.
