Woo! My favorite series of all time (tied with Over the Garden Wall)! The Marty McFly thing may be the vest, although Marty's is orange. I think you'll end up loving this series. You should keep an eye on the backgrounds, listen for backwards whispering, and there is at least one cryptogram in every episode (during the credits). Also, there will be during-credits scenes in every episode! The cryptogram for this first episode, IIRC, translates to "Welcome to Gravity Falls." Thank you for reacting to this! :D

I believe I was the one who suggested this based off your idea. Kristen Schaal is the voice of Mabel. She's known for being on The Daily Show, Bob's Burgers, and a bunch of other things here and there-- primarily animation. She was also in the Weird Al video "Tacky" but you don't hear her in that one.

For live action you might know her from the last couple seasons of 30 rock. She was also a main cast member of Flight of the Conchords and Last Man on Earth. And also does some stand-up.

Based on your reaction to this first episode, I'm positive you'll love this show. I first watched it through another reactor (ASR), and fell in love with the show. You should definitely continue, Gravity Falls is pretty popular.
