Looking at Occupy in the context of the last 200 years, I can only credit them with trying to re-invent the wheel using 20 years of post-cold war philosophy and life experience, which didn't make for a very good wheel and would explain why so many people who got 5 minutes of fame at Occupy ended up swinging rightward. in my opinion OSW is more important for being a timeline watermark where we can clearly detect that era's replacement workers signaling that actually no, just because the Soviets were gone didn't mean people were going to stop complaining about capitalism's flaws.
