Get Fail out of the writers room and ban him for life. Dudes onto absolutely nothing this episode.

The Nerevarine

I've been a lurker here for 2 years now, and it's disappointing that the current situation leads me to write my first and what will be my last post. I've enjoyed a lot of your older content, and I think you have the potential to really make something of this, but the way you're currently going about it isn't working. The big, obvious issue, of course, is that you've dropped only 11 episodes since the end of November last year. 11 episodes in two and a half months, spread across multiple shows, means that progress through any given show has slowed to a snail's pace. I subbed two years ago with the dream being to see you watch SGU, and here we are, halfway through, and it could be another two years before you get through the remainder of the show. Life gets in the way and I understand that. I've remained subbed through several slow periods now. But the lack of communication is a real killer. January was particularly rude. You released 4 episodes in the first 4 days, then went silent for the entire month, before returning to drop a 5th and final episode on the 30th. You released a sort-of-explanation of what's been going on, made no apology for the lack of content, and used the phrasing "as some of you might have noticed, this month has been unusually quiet in terms of video uploads". My dude, the reason people subscribe to you is for your video uploads. We all definitely noticed. Meanwhile, you happily continue to take our money, at what is an incredibly high price. AU$24.50 for what is currently amounting to roughly 3 or 4 episodes per month? I watch several other reactors on YouTube who release much more content far more consistently, and their Patreon prices are around the $5 to $8/month mark. I could sub to FOUR other reactors for the same amount I'm paying you. I thought that the events of January might prompt you to offer a refund, or at least significantly lower your prices given that you know your ability to release content is compromised at the moment. But no, apparently you're happy to take our money for nothing. On top of all of that, the real kicker is that lately, you've been doing a “Season 8 O'Neill” - you've been phoning it in. The reactions you have released have been very light on content. I own copies of the shows you're watching. I can watch them myself at any time. I subscribe to you to see YOU react to the shows. But lately, you've been doing less and less actual reacting. Your videos are very quiet, with no intro discussion and minimal post-episode discussion. Look at funnylilgalreacts for comparison. For her BSG Pegasus episode, she did a 10-minute intro and 15 minutes of post-episode discussion. She charges $8/month for her highest Patreon tier. Casual Nerd Reactions did basically no intro discussion for Pegasus and only 8 minutes of post-episode discussion, but still, only $8/month for full access to all his reactions. Your Pegasus reaction had zero intro discussion, less than 3 minutes of post-episode commentary, and you're charging $24.50/month. Plus, the other reactors are a lot more vocal and emotive during the episodes themselves. A lot of your older content was much more engaging, and when I first subscribed, you were charging only $14/month. That was expensive at the time, but I felt it was worth it based on the quality of your content and how often and how consistently you were releasing videos. Now the price is almost twice what it was, the quality has dropped, you're hardly releasing videos at all, the communication is almost non-existent, and it just feels like you don't care. I've supported you for as long as I can. It kills me to leave now with so many great episodes of SGU and BSG coming up, but who knows when you might actually get to them? And when you do, is the reaction going to be worth the cost? At this point I can no longer say yes.
