Despite the dated CGI, I'd say this is the first episode to really sell how menacing the centurions are. Granted a lot of that is down to the fact they seem to have given them more armor for the sake of this episode. The one on Caprica that Helo killed went down a lot easier, or at least it didn't seem to take special rounds. They always had the hands, we saw in the first scene of the miniseries that they can switch between shooting and I guess disembowelling mode. I mean I'm sure they use them for other tasks as well. Still, a battlestar has thousands of military personnel on board. If they can kill that many people and barely be stopped you know they're a serious threat, to say nothing of their strategy to turn Galactica on the fleet. Not much new on Caprica this time, but at least Kara isn't being too harsh on Helo. Given that Starbuck is as she puts it, a screw up, the apartment is about what you'd expect. I guess no matter where you are in the universe, ramen is always going to be the struggle meal of choice. Crashdown is honestly really pissing me off this time through the show, or maybe he always did and it's all coming back. I remembered him being incompetent but his behaviour goes so far beyond that. It's like every time he screws up he becomes less and less willing to listen to others, which turns it into this spiraling feedback loop. I mean he's roughing up the vice president for frak's sake. For all he knew the guy went around the corner to take a shit. What really pissed me off was the moment where they decided to OD Socinus. Now don't get me wrong, the chief was the one to do it, and he handled it as delicately as you could expect, giving the man some small sense of hope in his last moments. Still, Crashdown saying "he's your man chief" came across less as him not wanting to step on chief's toes and more a matter of him shirking a responsibility. He makes this whole song and dance about being in charge but the minute there's a hard decision to make he shuffles it off to Tyrol without a second thought.
