Pretty cool seeing the origin of the lone gunmen and what really started Mulder down his path. Also surprise Mr X cameo. It's kind of funny to think though that Mulder was this fairly run of the mill FBI agent and what started him down the X Files rabbit hole was a bad inhaler. Also yes, a few years after this there was a Lone Gunmen series that lasted just 13 episodes.

I remember really not liking this episode, probably because it was very unusual episode and I guess I was not much into Lone Gunmen. But boy oh boy, this was a fine episode. Vince never disappoints. I've never seen the Lone Gunmen show, maybe I'll give a try now.
