Nice timing on this upload given Dial the Gate just interviewed Robert Davi(and it's just now hitting me that I should have posted that in spoilers). Kolya kinda went out like a punk in Irresponsible, so it was good to see the actor get 1 more turn as the character. Todd really took over the frenemy position that Kolya might otherwise have occupied, and of course he's great, but Kolya is still a great foil to Sheppard. I also appreciate the examination of Sheppard's character, and the idea that he tortures himself every day, running away from his own failures, and especially having that message delivered by one of his greatest enemies. This was also a great episode for Woolsey's character. He was quite ruthless when we met him, and obviously he's gone through quite a transformation, but it was really put to the test here. Xiaoyi kind of represented who he used to be, ambitious to a fault, willing to sacrifice the future of an entire species for essentially career advancement. Woolsey conversely, is now willing to sacrifice his career to do the right thing. Fortunately, it didn't come to that.

"You're saying I tortured myself?" "You torture yourself every day, John." Why do I love that line so much?
