Season 4 is my favorite and this is my 2nd favorite :) I cry EVERY time SMG gives her Heaven speech.

this is my favorite season. its a very controversial one but i love it so much. Based on your reaction to this i think you're gonna love it.

Season 7 is mine, but 6 also rates very highly with me. Definitely among the top 3. Although, one of my very favorite episodes of all time is from Season 6. It's very catchy.

I seriously cannot express enough how much I love this season. It is hands down my favourite season of Buffy & I wish I could get more into the reasons why but it's still a little too early for that.

Buffy's friends had good reason to believe she'd want to be resurrected. Buffy told her friends repeatedly in S1-S5 that she didn't want to die and did everything in her power not to die young like all the Slayers before her. I'm kind of depressed that you think Buffy, at the incredibly young age of 20, was better off dead because her life was hard than alive and working through it. Yes her mom died, but the last thing Joyce would have wanted us for Buffy to die too. Willow legitimately believed Buffy was in a hell dimension due to the nature of her death. She barely stopped herself breaking down when she talked about how Buffy could be suffering "eternal torment" for saving them. How could she live with herself for the rest of her life if she legitimately thought Buffy was being tortured for an eternity in hell and she just left her there without trying to save her? She was wrong in this instance but she didn't know that. And, again, Buffy had always said in S1-S5 that she didn't want to die. She even told Giles in S5 that she wanted her death to "be a long time coming." So her friends have legitimate reasons to assume this. I'll leave the rest for the remainder of the season. I like the first 3 episodes but I do find it disconcerting how easily they can manipulate the audience into seriously advocating for death as a form of "peace" rather than working through your trauma/grief and embracing life. When people are suicidal we don't tell them to kill themselves, we help them. Buffy was in a rough place at the end of S5 but the answer isn't death.

That's nice and all, but Buffy did have a natural death, it was her time, she was finished. At some point you just have to go with the natural flow of how things work. Willow was straight up bending the rules of the universe, for her selfish purposes, and it was selfish. When Angel was sent to that other dimension, Buffy knew he had his soul back, but they still did nothing to try and bring him back, even knowing where he was, they were content letting that death, be his death. Every Slayer does die in the line of duty, it's how it works, it was the perfect ending for Buffy, but Willow couldn't move on. She honestly didn't even grieve until she thought the spell failed, and she broke down and cried in the forest with Xander, it took her that long to hit the grieving process, until then, she just wouldn't accept it.

Other than a few special episodes, now is when it gets real! The best part of the series is to come. Man am I ever glad that sweater-wearing "soldier" Riley, is gone. That guy almost killed Buffy for me. Dragged the entire series to a halt every time he was on screen. They should have been going with this tone a few seasons earlier and tightened it up a bit. Some great watching here on out!

Any discord people know what's happening with Buffy/Angel this week?

Hard disagree with you on the Dawn stuff in this episode Willow, Xander, and Tara are messing with Dawns life. She lost her sister, they gave her back, and now she thinks they want to take away her only family again? She’s a kid and her emotions are already super heightened, you can’t play with someone’s emotions like that.

Every scene in this episode between Buffy and Spike is God tier.

Yes I agree with you, it was an inconsiderate move or at best a youthfully naïve choice that was ill-considered. I know the scoobies had reason to believe that she may be in a hell dimension but they didn't investigate further instead running with the assumption that suited them. They seemed to be trying to avoid mourning and the uncomfortable emotions and changes associated with it by planning to resurrect her. That it is Willow leading it is particularly appropriate for her character given that she's always done this for emotions she doesn't want to feel.
