👁👄👁 lore drop

Lady Beyond The Wall

Kid did a really good job of studying RDA's mannerisms, imo. And yeah.. if I could go back knowing everything I do now, I would. But uh.. I have to say, I'd probably stay single until my early 20's at least because that'd just be *weird*.

Stargate 2034: Clone Jack, Rya'c, Lt. Jennifer Hailey, and Cassandra Fraiser as the medic.

Stef Furness

Really...I've noticed it before, but somehow even more so this time around. I mean, for me, there's barely a handful of the kid actors that I actually like, but I've always appreciated this one - his table-tapping and facial expressions/exasperations at that first briefing were pretty spot on.

RODNEY lmfao

Torbrevelk

Not even a bad guess after one or two lines, although I think they'd probably find Rodney trying to build a reactor to fix it himself before ever admitting he needs help XD

Clone O'Neill has appeared in a lot of fanfiction as a future SG1 team leader or at least an unusually young high ranking Officer. He's definitely an interesting option to 'sort of' keep Jack around beyond his original career, retaining a lot of valuable knowledge and skills. It's definitely weird though. He's basically a cross between an older man mentally, and a newborn infant physically (sort of, chronologically speaking).

Teth

They *need* to bring back Rya'c and Cassandra if there's ever another show

Cracks me up & warms my heart every time. What a great little episode & done so well, especially wee Jack 🙃

Now the important question of the day for any standard sci-fi: is your clone w/ all your memories, in an adolescent body, a pedophile or not? One could argue that the mental maturity of a person is the main determiner of whether such a thing is illegal or not, since pedophilia is by default rape since a person of such age isn't mentally complex enough to consent, thus defaulting to rape. So, hence the aforementioned question

Hammond: "... What exactly do we call him?" Sam: "Duplicate O'neill?" Me: CLONEILL!!! ?!?!? anyone?

Teth

"Assguard" 🤣🤣🤣

Daryl

Lovin the Jack character as much as I do. I love the idea that there's a clone of him out there with the option of a life do over. Somewhat like a what if Loki variant. What path does this Jack take? Yes go forth young man.

Lady Beyond The Wall

Honestly that's one of my favorite Daniel lines. It just cracks me the hell up and it's so easy to miss if you aren't paying much attention, lol.

Sarahnade

The ending is so weird to me. You're telling me clone Jack's not going to get bored after a few algebra classes and teen parties? How long until he wants to get back into the field? He's ready to drop contact with his best friends and start a whole new social group of awkward teens? So weird. BUT. I forgive all of that because this episode is so much fun. It's worth a sweaty untidy ending to get such a cool episode.

Fragile Balance definitely stands out as having a different flavour from a lot of the rest of the season, and the show as a whole. Very unusual concept but well executed. Definitely got heavy X Files vibes with the abductions. In universe, the idea that in a few years Clo'Neill (thanks for that stonewobble) will be a young, healthy 20something Jack O'Neill with all the experience to join up and fight for Earth is appealing, but I'd hate to see it executed in a show. RDA made that role what it is, and no matter how well someone can copy mannerisms, it would just feel cheap IMO. I don't think I'd want to go back and relive my teenage years as they happened personally. Certainly wouldn't want to go through high school again. But I'd take the age reset for sure. It's starting to feel rather desperate for the asgard at this point. They're really leaning into their genetic problems of late. Perhaps if they find this ancient city, something there could help them. Also new asgard ship, pretty cool. Favourite line from the episode has to be "look, there's no easy way to tell you this, so... Sam's just gonna come out and say it". ROFL, the guy just shuffles off the responsibility to Carter. Man, so great having Daniel back on the team.

Not to spoil anything, but fun fact the new 2022 Stargate series stars young Jack O’Neill as the leader of SG1 (kidding)

GhostPhil

Stargate High School and then College spin-off 😅

Ray Nothnagel

Did you just make this up? I can't find any evidence corrodorating a single part of this sentence - not that young O'Neill is involved in anything, not that Michael Welch is involved in anything, not even that there is a Stargate series for 2022.

Thomas Thorburn

That genetic marker is very important and that's all I'll say.
