Angle is moving on Demon Time

Thank you for the reaction. I love the fire scene, it's so cold, and I'm glad you caught the idea about this not being Angel or Angelus, but something different, he definitely feels different. I just love how crazy Drusila is, she plays her character so well, I love the uniqueness of the character. Darla has also stepped it up. Who would have known that very first vampire we see in Buffy ends up being this important now. She died so quickly in Buffy, and didn't feel like she'd ever really big a big deal, and look at her now. I just love how they have fleshed out Darla, she's really great.

Ooohhh…flogging! Ewwwww….churches!

"He remembers when you were warm" What an awesome line. I'm so glad to have Dru on the show for the family reunion. Her and Darla have great chemistry too. Is it bad to kind of be rooting for them? 😂

2021-09-24 17:58:10 Damn, that gasoline scene was cold(well, I mean not for Darla and Dru). Angel has developed qite the vicious streak. Just 1 man setting out alone to go to war with LA's underground. Reminds me of Garrus from Mass Effect 2. I guess that would make him.......Archangle. Still, I do love the team bonding between the other 3, and especially it's good to see that Gunn doesn't feel like he's just "passing through". I suppose thinning the herd at W&H was inevitable.Holland was OK, but Lindsey and Lilah stand out a lot more, and their rivalry is pretty entertaining. Gotta say though, Darla's little recruiting pitch kinda fell flat. Most of the demons in there were probably thinking "all she did was rip Tony's ears off. Pssh, I could have done that". Add to that Dru's crazy ramblings and Darla's nervousness, and they certainly don't seem like the "only thing in town". EDIT - Also just wanted to add, the line about him not being Angel or Angelus was a brilliant move on the part of the writers. It's natural to assume the former is just letting the latter out to get the job done. Angelus though was just chaotic evil, he just wanted carnage and suffering, and didn't care who or when or where it happened. He's willing to employ all the brutality and cunning of Angelus, but it's very much targeted, and he's not doing it for amusement(like an unhinged Batman). Angel had rules, ethical parameters that made him predictable. Angelus had simple sadistic motivations that were likewise predictable. This version of Angel has no limits, no rules, no passion, and no desire to reason with his enemies, none of the weaknesses of either persona that made him easier to manipulate. Just unwavering resolve to destroy his enemies, regardless of the cost or how long it takes. Darla's line was a very clever way for the writers to illustrate that difference. If I were in her shoes, I'd be worried too.

Morgan Le Fay

He is definitely serving ME2 Garrus. Doesn’t mind getting down with the dogs if it means taking down his targets. Very nice analogy there😂

The ends of these last 3 episodes are all bomb... First, Dru shows up and turns Darla. Then, Angel locks the lawyers in with the vamps. Last, he lights the vamps on fire like a psycho. Fun fact: This is the only episode of the series (that David Boreanaz is in) where the Angel character doesn't speak.
