Mmmmm, Chicken. And I love fried chicken. This episode made me sick :o I also did not see the Cannibal twist coming holy crap. I saw the cult thing, but not a cannibal cult. This was a crazy episode. I must have forgotten it, cause I don't at all remember this episode from watching the series originally. I think they fed the Chaco guy to the chickens at the end, that was his hair, wasn't it? Ewwwwww, I'm sick. It's also an analogy with the whole idea they are feeding the chickens, well, chickens. Cannibalism. This episode has several meaty layers. Thanks for the reaction.

Not one of my favorites, but it's still well executed and quite disturbing.

Timothy Nikiforovs

can't wait for 4x2. Quite possibly the most disturbing ep of x files, but the reaction should be a blast

I'm so glad you asked that. I normally don't dwell on such things - it's only a tv show, after all - but everytime I've watched this particular episode (several dozen times, by now) I find myself wondering where did the maid disappear too?

Timothy Nikiforovs

Ooh, I have something to watch while I have lunch. Nice!! You gotta hand it to the X Files, they know how to take it up to 11 on the disturbing scale. Even if it's a mediocre monster of the week story, the execution is on point. What I don't get and wish was elaborated on more was the life extending subplot. Must have something to do with the 11 secret herbs and spices that tribe told him about.

Tomáš Polák

That seemed like an unnecessary subplot. Writers probably felt they have to include something supernatural for it to be considered an X-File
