Yay, Darla. I really enjoy the dynamic between her and Angel. Even if he was soulless at the time, he spent centuries with her. If that doesn't make for complicated emotions, I don't know what does. They did a good job of fleshing Gunn out this episode and letting us understand why he's so cranky and uptight. Cordelia had some great moments too to show how much she's grown. And I agree, great chemistry between the two of them. And that Stiff Shoulders Demon has to be one of the most ridiculous looking monsters on either show. You love to see it!

So happy they made this show, it really has injected more personality into the 3 that came from Buffy. Wesley is shown to be more confident and brave and actually having banter etc with Angel. Cordelia has really grown, she had a great arc in Buffy, so glad they are able to expand on it further. And Angel actually has a personality, OK, Angelius had loads of personality, but after that story arc it was just him brooding and simping over Buffy all the time - I like that he has more comedy moments now and interactions with people that aren't all about the slayer.

2021-09-04 18:17:09 Gunn has helped the team out a few times now, so it's good to see them returning the favor. Cordelia especially, despite being a klutz, really stepped up and showed a lot of character. Gunn may be annoyed by some of the things she does, but I think he understands she is trying to help him and appreciated the effort, even if he won't say it. On the surface anyway, it would seem W&H's plan with Darla is to use her to bring Angelus back. Whatever method they're using to project her into his dreams, she seems to be doing everything possible to make him perfectly happy(and we all remember what happened last time he felt like that). I question whether having a really euphoric erotic dream would actually make him lose his soul, but if she's in the room with him, the plan might be to make him think he's still dreaming until it's too late. That said if he realizes she's actually there and he's not dreaming, I expect he'd snap out of it. She definitely died, and to be back now he would instantly realize someone resurrected her, and probably not for his benefit. Whether that's the plan or they simply want to distract him so they can go after Cordy and Wes, and whether he'll catch on or not, next ep is sure to be interesting. W&H are making their play one way or another. And that pink helmet man. Even the vamps were teasing him about it. "You'll pay for this" LMAO.
