I absolutely love this episode. It’s creepy, it’s witty, and the guest actors do bang up jobs.

This is one of those classic episodes that people still remember and talk about years later. It definitively leaves an impression. It's an interesting take on the satanism paranoia that's probably still a thing in the US, but was especially prevalent in the late 70s-80s when people thought everything from rock music to D&D was secretly teaching kids to summon demons and whatnot.

This one's pure horror. A very disturbing episode for me personally. Everything about it is very well done, too, although a bit convoluted perhaps. Now if someone asks me about what I consider some of the scariest episodes, this one's definitely on the list. And FYI, I actually did watch it as a kid when it first aired, lol. So yeah... it definitely left an impression. There are episodes I consider scary/disturbing and love to re-watch, but this is one of those that I always skip. Not because it's bad, but only because the "type" of scariness in this one is not something I can enjoy. It's the subject matter and almost everything that happens on screen that just creeps me out.

Oh man I got so hyped when I saw Kim Manners pop up as the director for this episode. I never knew he did a bunch of xfiles episodes. He’s one of the main reasons I loved the earlier seasons of Supernatural. He does creepy and horror so well as shown here. Can’t wait to see other episodes that he directs

Kim Manners was such a gift to television. He directed some of the best and most memorable x-files episodes, and he brought that x-filesy atmosphere to the early seasons of spn. He was also a regular director on one of my other favourite shows, Brisco County jr

What a creepy episode. I really don't remember this one on the first watch, but when this series was new I didn't watch it consistently, only sporadically, till the end, then I watched the latter half of the series consistently. So I either missed this episode the first time or just don't remember it. I loved it though, the tone was very different. It was like a whole different writing and the directing team got hold of the show. It really felt different. But I loved it. Very supernatural.

Any you thought Sunnydale high was creepy. Also that they seem so concerned about an F bomb in a play right before jumping into Satan worshipping is very Joss Whedon IMO. Yeah this is definitely up there for pure creepiness. There are definitely eps with better jump scares and more tension from physical threats, but this ep just makes my skin crawl.

Been waiting for this episode's reaction. It's a solid episode, great acting and a satisfying ending. I think the teacher was not a follower, but an actual demon or extension of there of. Kids accidentally summoned It and It had some fun. As always, great reaction, thanks!
