https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Stargate_(film) Actually, bruh, you need to do a simple Google search before you go shooting your mouth off about a franchise you clearly know nothing about(and to a 3 year old comment at that🤦‍♂️). Ra wasn't killed by the Egyptians. They simply buried the gate, cutting Earth off from the network. Apophis didn't appear until Children of the Gods. Ra was the antagonist of the 1994 film, and he died when O'Neil(the one with 1 L and no sense of humor) used a ring transporter to beam a nuke onto his ship. If that was Apophis, how did he show up in the series? As to Hathor, she may have been deposed, but she was a system lord historically, and was well on her way to regaining that power.

I'm of the opposite mind as you on this one. I enjoyed this conclusion MUCH more than the first part. That one wasted too much time on clips and the "you've been frozen for 80 years" deception just to save the Hathor reveal till the end. This one was a straight up explosive(literally) season premier. I loved getting Hammond directly involved with saving his people and getting to team up with Teal'c in the "needle threader", which is a really cool concept. If I were Hammond I'd be telling Bra'tac "we'll take a dozen". Also when you think about it this is SG1's first real system lord takedown. OK, O'Neill did kill Ra, and he was THE system lord, while Hathor was a nobody by SL standards with a few jaffa she managed to seduce away and no ships. But Ra was an accident, a fluke. They brought the bomb to destroy the gate, and at best managed to annoy Ra into leaving who would probably have come back with a proper mothership and a full army, as I get the idea that his pyramid ship was more like a personal yacht with a small contingent of warriors. They just had a random opportunity to kill him that they took advantage of. They did take down Apophis 2 ships, which was a bigger victory to be sure, but it was other goa'uld who finished him off. This is the first time the SGC went after and killed a Goa'uld, so it's a landmark episode to be sure. I'm hoping that with over 100K and other reactors picking up the show you start to bring in a new wave of SG1 fans. This franchise seemed to drop out of the public consciousness way too soon for how good it was(and still is. It holds up really well even today). I laugh every time I hear "the 'last' of Apophis' guard" at this point. First in the episode where Rya'c is brainwashed they make out like he has barely any jaffa left, and they kill a bunch there, then we see more in Secrets. Then in Serpent's Song he says the last of his loyal jaffa died getting him away from Sokar, and now apparently there's still some "last" personal guards left. I didn't get why Makepeace didnt use the M203 grenade launcher that was right in the center of the frame seconds before when a half dozen jaffa come down the hallway. Sure it's kinda close quarters but his team are behind cover. Ears are gonna be ringing but it's better than getting shot. Also use it on those towers bud. Daniel's haircut feels like the latest step in transitioning the character away from the nerdier James Spader version of the character. You also see Jack's snarkiness is starting to rub off on him at this point. Teal'c's speech, despite it's limited success, was pretty inspiring, and really speaks to the characters motivation. There's a meme out there that's a variation on the Drake approve/disapprove format, but with Geordi from TNG, and it shows Finnfrom the Star Wars sequels and says "defecting and gleefully slaughtering your brainwashed-as-children former comrades", which Geordi is not cool with, followed by Teal'c with the caption "defecting and dedicating your life to freeing your former comrades from slavery", to which he's like "my man". Teal'c really is dedicated to the future of his people, and he won't stop until they ALL see the goauld for what they really are.

The clip show episode was to save money for all the cgi in this one.

Timothy Nikiforovs

I get that, but it felt like they just threw random clips together. Politics was using each clip to justify Kinsey wanting to shut down the SGC.
