Such a good episode! Season 2 has some great stuff coming up. One of the biggest strengths of the Stargate universe is how the world gradually expands over the years, and season 2 really kicks that off.

I like your idea about how this wraps up the movie, as if this were a sequel to it. Given a movie budget that would have been epic. I too can see it as the end of the movie chapter, and the beginning of SG1 as a series, it ended what the movie began in a way. Nice connection. Now Season 2 and onwards can take on a life of its own. Great reaction, thank you, look forward to more.

Oh man, if you think Daniel has thick plot armor now, just you wait till later in the series. And Bra'tac coming back was one of the best parts of the episode. I loved his dick measuring contest with O'Neill all through the episode with them constantly one upping each other. Also I get chills every time i hear him say "I have spent 133 years worshiping false gods. NO MORE!!!". Best line of the ep IMO. This was the episode that really catapulted the series into greater things and gave us our first real victory against the goa'uld. Killing Ra was HUGE, much bigger than the movie lets on, but it was almost like they just got lucky. This was actually taking the fight to the bad guys. Great reaction as always. Next episode is gonna be intense.

dude, you finished SEASON 1!!! Achievement unlocked, bro. Congrats on the prediction of Bra'tac showing up, that was great. That's how you know you're paying attention and listening to the details. SG-1 from now on will be considered not just a nuisance to the Goa'uld but an actual real threat. Fuck with Earth and SG-1 will come for you. Season 2 is gonna be so dope!! New alien races, new adventures, lots of character development. Hope you're ready for a wild ride!

Honestly, I think they bodied Daniel because there are only two seats in a Death Glider and had to think of another way for someone to escape.
