I just noticed that the composer straight up recycled David Arnold's main theme from Independence Day at the end there as they were leaving the planet to their own new found independence. Poetic now that I think about it especially as David Arnold wrote the music for the original Stargate film which the new composer draws from. (Sorry never noticed it before and thought it was worth mentioning)

I'm hyped for the good Stargate episodes! In my opinion, this was the last bad one of the season.

And the engagement thing was very randomly thrown in there, you aren't missing anything. This episode just isn't written very well.

I agree, they really do improve as they go on. I missed this one the first time around and saw it later during a rewatch binge. Felt very out of place. Three Wizard of Oz refs in the first 10 mins in this one. Lol

Lady Beyond The Wall

I pretty much always skip this one, personally. But I can't really think of too many other "meh" episodes beyond this one! I'm definitely excited for some upcoming ones. They're definitely trying to find their footing a good chunk of the 1st season, like most shows, but they find it soon. :)
