My latest post expands on my answer to "Who uses cartomancy in Khorvaire?" In other news, I've concluded that I generally spend too much time answering questions on blog posts. In some cases I end up answering dozens of questions on a post—and that's time that could be spent answering questions on the monthly thread, writing entirely new articles, or working on Frontiers or Chronicle. I LIKE answering questions, so it's a hard thing to cut back on, but it's not a good use of my limited time. So I'm going to try not answering questions on IFAQs, and limiting myself on Dragonmarks, following the same general approach I do on the monthly thread—no more than one question per poster, and focusing on questions that have broad interest. Sometimes there are questions on Dragonmarks that serve to add important perspective to the main subject material; other times questions go down obscure rabbit holes or should really be addressed in their own articles.

The main issue is that I need to work on managing my limited time and figuring out how to use it to produce the best content for everyone. I will be running some polls soon with some broader questions about the type of content you'd like to see on the site going forward.

And have no fear, the Lurker in Shadow is on its way! Thank you for your support.

IFAQ: Cartomancy in Khorvaire

When time permits, I like to answer interesting questions posed by my Patreon supporters. This one has come up a few times... Eberron: Rising From The Last War includes "oracle" as one of the possible specialties for magewrights; as presented, they can cast augury and divination as rituals.

Hi Keith, I strongly agree about article questions. While I myself has been responsible for asking too many, they do put a damper on the article. Sometimes I hold off on reading an article for days because there would be additional information in the comments I don't want to miss.

Yeah, that's another major issue - I'm sure tons of people miss out on great content because they don't check again after 48 hours and miss your reply from two days later. Another solution might be a strict window of time for comments Q&A, after which point people can converse amongst themselves but anything else would have to warrant a follow-up iFAQ

I really loved this article. I’m pretty new to Eberron, but have been really enraptured by the lore. I’ve owned Rising from the Last War for a good long while, but never really read it until recently. I picked up a physical copy of Exploring Eberron off the DMs Guild last week, and am planning to slowly pick up the 3.5 books as I can. I’m thrilled you still produce content for your vision of Eberron, it makes it feel more like a living breathing world.

Going to have to find an Eberron-esque tarot deck to use as a prop for when I eventually run a campaign in the world.
