Threshold January Challenge (Patreon)

Greetings, Threshold supporters!

The next Threshold session will be Saturday, January 29th from 9 AM-1 PM Pacific Time. For people new to Threshold, it's not streamed live, but it will be released in the week following.

The town of Threshold is built on the foundations of an ancient Dhakaani fortress. These ruins include the entrance to a mine—a deep mine that has been abandoned for thousands of years. Ink has determined that it was originally a source of the exotic ore known as byeshk. However, early explorations of the mine suggest that the upper passages were tapped out—and the lower passages were infested with cockatrices and other unknown dangers. As a result, the settlers have shunned the mine. However, Count ir'Blis has sold the mining rights to investor Honoria Soldorak—and she in turn has tasked her nephew Ink to explore the mine and to clear out any threats. His team includes the shifter blacksmith Bel, the worg ranger Ja'taarka, the mysterious Valenar Vael, and the wandslinger Three-Widow Jane. 

The mine will be the focus of the session, and it will involve exploration, planning, and potentially, combat. Be prepared for that if you apply!

SO AS TO THAT... Because of the rules of Discord, I can't choose players at random; there has to be an actual contest. If you would like to play in this session, here's the rules:

• Send an email to threshold.eberron@gmail.com
• Include the name of the character you most want to play in the subject line. The available characters are Ink (Dwarf artificer), Bel (Shifter barbarian), Ja'taarka (Worg ranger), Vael (Elf paladin), and Three-Widow Jane (Khoravar warlock). 
• In the body of the email, tell me something your character has heard about the mine. This could be a single interesting fact or it could be a longer story—and keep in mind that the fact that you've heard it doesn't mean that it's TRUE. If you want to increase your chances, you can name up to two additional characters (from the list) you'd like to play.
• The people who played in the most recent session aren't eligible to play in this one.
• Your answer must be submitted by Noon Pacific time on Wednesday, January 26th.
