Greetings, Patrons!

My next project for the DM's Guild is Dread Metrol, and I thought i'd give you a little peek. Long ago I wrote an article about how the Mourning and Mabar were ways to introduce the ideas of Ravenloft into Eberron. Dread Metrol expands on that idea, presenting the besieged city of Metrol as a Domain of Dread, snatched away on the Day of Mourning. While it can be presented as a traditional Domain of Dread, if you prefer not to have your Eberron connected to the wider multiverse, Metrol can instead be trapped in the Hinterlands of Mabar, described in more detail in Exploring Eberron. Whether or not it's IN Ravenloft, Dread Metrol provides an opportunity to explore the ideas presented in Van Richten's Guide.

Dread Metrol is just entering layout now so I don't have a final page count, but I expect it to be over fifty pages. The first chapter is a deep exploration of Metrol under siege; while this reflects the impact of the Dark Powers and years of conflict, it also provides a deeper look at Queen Dannel ir'Wynarn and Metrol overall than we've ever had. The second chapter is "The Mourning After", an adventure by Andrew Bishkinskyi set in Dread Metrol—with hooks for whether you want to draw existing characters into the story or whether you want to start a new campaign in Metrol.

Thanks for your support, and enjoy this little peek! The preview image is an exclusive for patrons, so please don't post the image elsewhere. And remember, the Queen is always watching...

"...report to the Vadalis kennels for processing..." definitely using that later.

Looks very nice, can't wait to use some of its content in my campaign. On a different note, any news when the new Threshold book is due to release?

Not at the moment. I’ve had to deal with IRL issues in April and June that have severely impacted my writing time, and the short form is that it’ll be done when it’s done. Expect we’ll have a better idea in a month.
