Threshold Update (Patreon)

Greetings, Threshold Backers!

As you know from my previous messages, this has been a difficult month. I was hoping to run the next session of Threshold this upcoming weekend, but it's going to have to wait until the first weekend of May. I truly apologize for the delay and I appreciate your ongoing support in this difficult time.

Having said that, I do want to keep moving forward. Characters are going to be advancing to 4th level, and there's going to be some polls to deal with that. I may have another surprise. Beyond that, I've said that this is an experiment and that I would reevaluate it after the third session, and I have. Here's a few important details. 

• Originally I was considering sharing episodes with a broader audience. I've decided not to do that. Both audio and video sessions will remain as Patron-only content. 
• Video content will be a single file. I would like your opinion as to whether you'd prefer to have the audio content as a single file or broken into approximately one-hour episodes. 
• I've decided it's going to be a three-month cooling off period for players, so the people who played in the first session are eligible to play in the fourth. 
• One question that's come up is whether we want celebrity guests. I know lots of interesting people, and one option is to have occasional guest players in the fifth seat. Most likely these guests wouldn't play one of the core cast characters; they would likely be strangers passing through town, people who have a role in the story of that session. 
• Another question is where you'd like to see the focus of the adventures. Do you want more combat and action? Would you rather see more mystery and intrigue in town? Or would you rather see the story get involved with the politics of the region? These are not exclusive; I'm going to look at the total number of votes each option receives, not simply focus on the top choice.
