So now we know a little more about our Marshal. He's battle-scarred veteran soldier who served in the Blademark before becoming a Sentinel Marshal, earning the respect of his comrades in arms. A scion of Deneith's oldest family, he defied his orders and slew a war criminal who would otherwise have gone free. Now he seeks to use his martial skills (as a Battle Master fighter) to make a difference. There will be more information about all of that, but we'll get to it in time.

Now let's get to the Smith. Here's what we know: She's a Cyran shifter just trying to make an honest living. She's opened a general store with her partner, a Cannith tinker. She doesn't like to talk about what she did during the war, but she can swing a hammer and you won't like her when she's angry. She's respected within the community of Cyran refugees within the town, and pursue the interests of her people.

The Smith is a Cyran in her 20's (keep in mind that shifters don't live quite as long as humans; she's young, but not exceptionally so). Let's talk about what we don't know...

She's a shifter and a barbarian. If she's a Totem Warrior, she has a close connection to her primal instincts; she can speak with animals and feels a kinship with beasts. If she's a Path of the Beast barbarian, her abilities go beyond those that are typical for a shifter and she's doesn't why; was she exposed to the Mourning? Did Vadalis conduct experiments on her? Or is there another explanation for her gifts?

Her Background reflects her current role in the town. If she was a guild artisan, she's trying to mind her own business and focus on commerce. If she's a folk hero, she played an important role in getting the Cyran refugees to Threshold and continues to try to protect them. If she was a criminal she may have a past that could catch up with her, even though she's run to the ends of the earth.

She's not especially devout, but her Faith reflects the direction she leans in. If she places her faith in the Beast Within, she swears by Grandmother Wolf and trusts her instincts. If she believes in the Sovereigns, she trusts in Onatar to guide her at the forge. And if she's lost her faith in the war, the question is what she believed in and what she's seen that changed that.

This is another short poll. Thanks for your support!
