The Traveler article just went up last week, but I've seen a number of interesting questions about Aberrant Dragonmarks recently so I posted a short article about them. I'm calling this a "sidebar", as it doesn't add as much detail as a full Dragonmark article and also looks at the design decisions that went into developing aberrant marks in the first place. The twelve dragonmarks are tied to specific bloodlines and passed down through families. They are reliable and predictable, and their powers are constructive. They create; they heal; they protect. But there is another kind of dragonmark: marks that are unpredictable and dangerous to both the bearer and the people around them.
