Hello, the past two weeks have been a down and then an up trajectory for me. I sort of burnt out and spent that time playing some video games and finishing the revision of that book which I've been writing since 2018.

Here it is for free. I'm also putting it in the Discord for anyone to read if they desire, only asking for feedback. I have hardly gotten one full test of the book with actual comments, so it's bound to be full of errors. Of anything I've created anywhere, this book has given me the most joy.

Then I finally finished modelling and rigging the new enemy and began coding it yesterday. I had no idea what I wanted it to look like, but its model turned out way better than it had any right to. This experience also proved to me that I've mastered the process of texturing models in Blender using one material (whereas before I would use up to ten materials per object). This is huge for graphical performance in my games moving forward.

Its AI will be very simple, because it's a stepping stone to more complex enemies I want to make soon. It's going to be a simple aggressive enemy that searches around and can be heard from a long distance. No other twist (probably). It's a joy to animate, and I'm excited to see how it fits into the game.
