This is a very tricky matchup. Torino sits 11th on the table while Sassuolo sits 12th. Torino was kind of finding form before the break before they got smacked 4-0 by league leaders Napoli in the last game before the break. Meanwhile, Sassuolo were on their best run of the season right before the break, winning four matches straight.

I never like to use the phrase "toss-up" but this is a game that could see either side make an aggressive run for all three points and both teams have the capability of grabbing a win. Let's break down what we can and I'll explain why, while even though it's tough, I do give a slight lean to the team sitting beneath the other on the table, Sassuolo.

Sassuolo Form, Domenico Berardi and Penalties

The international break didn't come at the best time for Sassuolo. Manager Alessio Dionisi and his squad were on the best run they've had so far this season, winning four straight matches. They earned wins over weaker opponents like Cremonese, Spezia and Lecce, but also had a massive win against Roma where Sassuolo scored four goals. This team is finally starting to click and will hopefully be able to continue their form after the two-week break. They welcome back starting defender Ruan Tressoldi from suspension which is key for helping lock down the Sassuolo back line. They also have a new shining star who is truly finding his goal-scoring form in 28-year-old Italian international Domenico Berardi.

Berardi has 14 starts with Sassuolo and has scored six goals in those games. He has also scored two goals in his last three games. Another thing to keep an eye on with Berardi is that he is the penalty kick taker for Sassuolo and, for some reason, teams love fouling and giving Sassuolo penalties. Penalties have occurred in two of Sassuolo's last three games, as Sassuolo plays this effective but bizarre style of play where they dominate possession in their opponents' box and draw fouls. If you want a sprinkle for a goal, Berardi is going to be a solid look.
