No, you are not mistaken. We do, in fact, have two German clubs in the semifinals of the Champions League. While Bayern Munich take on Real Madrid on the other side of the semis, Borussia Dortmund will be welcoming the giants of France, PSG, to the Yellow Wall. With the potential of a repeat of the 2013 UCL final on the horizon, expect Dortmund to give PSG an absolute fit in this first leg, knowing that the home leg is where they have their best chance of producing any kind of a result.

This is a classic home-field advantage tie. I expect Dortmund to win the first leg at home and PSG to win the second leg on their pitch. The real question is, by how many goals can each club win in each leg?

Dortmund were underdogs against Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinals. They proceeded to put on an offensive master class, scoring four goals in their home leg. This is a team sportsbooks consistently undervalue when it's playing at home. Looking at the lines and at how strong this Dortmund side is, I disagree with PSG being the favorite here.

This is a club that has been very flip-floppy... is that a word? I'm not sure, but Dortmund in Bundesliga compared to Dortmund in UCL are two entirely different beasts. With the likes of Julian Brandt, Marco Reus, Donyell Malen and more available, this is a team that will have its foot on the gas from the first second until the last.

While Dortmund have a wealth of players that can score from anywhere and everywhere on the pitch, PSG do as well, but maybe not quite as many. This is a team that, all season, has been carried in some capacity by the man, the myth, the legend himself, Kylian Mbappe. 

While Mbappe might be finishing his final season with this club with transfer rumors flowing, he won't have to do this alone. Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha both have found their striking boots and will be looking to contribute as well.

With two offensive powerhouses, there's only one way I can bet on this match, and that's by taking goals.
