4/17 Slate:
Dundee v Rangers. BTTS -110. 3pm ET. Scottish Prem.
Score Prediction. 3-1/ 2-1 Rangers
Thoughts
Very long story short. Dundee players, fans, managers, everyone is pissed at Rangers. This match keeps getting delayed because of an "unplayable pitch", that Dundee wanted to and encouraged everyone to just play on. Rangers threw a fit and long story short, everyone in this game is pissed off now. Rangers drew Celtic just to lost to Ross county and are kind of falling apart right now. It's a must win for Rangers, which means an angry Dundee side have the chance to spoil things for them, and they'll be motivated to do so.
REAL MADRID AT MANCHESTER CITY | 4/17 | 3 p.m. ET
Picks:
Score Prediction: 2-2 Draw baby!
BTTS + Over 2.5 goals. -120. 1u
Man City over 1.5 TT. -175. 1u
Real Madrid over 1.5 TT. +190. 1u
We are in for either the most exciting or potentially most boring second leg we've seen in a very long time as two giants of Europe take to the pitch. After a thrilling 3-3 draw in Madrid saw both clubs squared up, we see if either team can find that moment of greatness in Manchester that will separate them from their opponent. The Madrid manager discussed his disappointment to be level on goals after their home leg, because he and his players know how difficult it is to travel to Etihad Stadium and walk away with a win.
If anyone would be up for the challenge, it would be this Madrid side. This club is the kings of Champions League and have enough talent amongst their ranks to make this both a challenging but also winnable affair. With Jude Bellingham, Vini Jr, Rodrygo and more in form, they'll be keen on not only winning this second leg, but finding more than one goal along the way.
Manchester City are on the precipice of greatness right now. Coming off a treble win last season, the reigning Champions League Champions are looking for a repeat. This is a club that has shown time and time again why they are the best in the world, and have shown they are capable of slowing down even the trickiest and most aggressive opponents. While they do still have a domestic title race to worry about, you best believe that this UCL match will be their first and main priority. Even with the Cyborg, Erling Haaland, being a bit absent in recent form, this is a team that just like their opponents, have the depth to make this one a fantastic matchup.
ARSENAL at BAYERN MUNICH | 4/17 | 3 p.m. ET
Picks
Score prediction. 2-1/2-2 Bayern Lean
Both teams to score & Over 2.5 goals -115 (1 unit)
Bayern Munich draw no bet -135 (1 unit)
Bayern Munich to score in first half -120 (1 unit)
Just to remind you, I am a massive Bayern Munich supporter, so there's a chance a hint of bias can shine through here. That being said, Arsenal desperately needed to produce a better result in the second leg.
The Gunners have been tremendous at home this UCL season but have struggled on the road. They were -150 favorites in the first leg and dominated the field but only managed to leave with a 2-2 draw. Now, they must travel to Munich to play a rowdy Bayern Munich side that will be bolstered by its avid supporters. Arsenal needed to do better in the first leg, and I believe their failure to do so will see them leaving this competition on Wednesday.
Both teams are coming off disappointing weeks. While Arsenal might have seen their Premier League title chances dashed by a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa over the weekend, Bayern Munich had to sit back and watch Bayer Leverkusen hoist Bundesliga's Meisterschale as they were declared champions of Germany.
With Bayern Munich's domestic campaign basically over, the Champions League is now their prime focus, knowing that lifting a trophy at the end of the competition can make up for even the poorest of seasons.
Die Roten did a good job to escape the first leg with a draw. We can't forget that their supporters were banned from attending the first leg by UEFA, giving Arsenal an even bigger advantage. Now, as they return home all squared up, I'm expecting the likes of Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala to help propel this team to victory. No wants to have to face Bayern Munich at home in the Champions League.
While Bayern Munich are expected the win this tie, Arsenal will make things tricky for them. We cannot forget that they are a club that was capable of taking points from Manchester City twice in the EPL this season. They are capable of rocking a solid defensive backline and keeping up with the best clubs in Europe.
With Mikel Arteta having a healthy starting XI and group of reserves, expect 90 minutes of absolute intensity between two teams that share the sentiment that the UCL could be their only chance of claiming silverware this season.
