Development update #24 (Patreon)

Merry Christmas!!! Clearly I've waited a bit longer than usual during this month to post any sort of update here, and the people in discord may have noticed a bit of an absence from me there. I'm gonna explain that (As well as why you haven't got your update yet) in a sec, but first I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year. All that stuff.

Anyway, so as most of you will know, I was away from home for two weeks of November, but I'd known that was gonna happen for a while so I was hoping to work around it. Was kinda able to, but kinda not. (Not many way's to work around just not having access to a PC for two weeks other than stacking up content, which is hard to do when you're already basically flat out.)
Unfortunately, I recently had a family member pass away (I'm fine, but was required to be part of the  process that usually follows an event like that) and it meant I had to spend a further week away from home, unable to work on the game. So in total that's 3 weeks of dev missed since the last update, which isn't ideal. I think I promised somewhere that the update would be out by Christmas, but I hadn't anticipated having to do funeral stuff at the time. Aside from those 3 weeks, I've been pretty much flat out on development with any spare time I get. Sadly the unexpected week of for funeral stuff meant I didn't really get any actual time off from my real job over Christmas, but such is life.

Anyway, enough reasons/excuses, here's where we're at. The update is mostly done. As expected, it's shorter than the last one since it's basically just a part of the larger update as a whole. I'm currently working on the last of 7 included sex scenes. Granted, these scenes are route dependent, and they're all Sasha. There's a reason I used her for the definitely very high quality photoshop preview image, this is basically a full Sasha update. I think it's also the case that on a single save you'll only get one of these scenes. This update serves as the end of her route selection sequence, so you will get a scene with her of some sort regardless of what you've done previously with her. (Unless you go out of your way to reject the fuck out of her or whatever.) It's a similar sort of deal to Riley's punishment thing in 0.22 in the sense that there are a bunch of scenes to get, but they're all mutually exclusive based on your choices. Luckily, gallery unlock is in full effect, so you're not gonna have to go back to replay the ghost hunt or whatever to see all the different things.
Other characters do appear, but she's the only one with sex scenes. Originally there was going to be an additional scene near the end with some other characters, but I think adding it at this stage will delay things a whole bunch, and I can fairly easily just put it in the next update instead.

I'm clearly quite useless at predicting release dates, so I won't predict this one, only that it's not far off. I'm not gonna be able to work on the game christmas day and most likely boxing day due to family stuff and all that, but will be getting back on with it after that.

Anyway yeah, when it does come out, this one is only really worth playing if you're a Sasha fan. It features some sex stuff for her, and also a little bit of a continuation of her story for non slave players. As you'll remember, the idea behind the quicker update schedule is to release the same content in smaller chunks for "Hopefully being able to do this for a living" reasons one day, so if you're someone who wants a bigger update to play, skip this one and wait a few updates. Thanks for all your support this year everyone, the growth has been pretty nuts from my perspective, and I'm glad everyone's enjoyed what's been released during the year. Fingers crossed it continues in 2024!
