Hello All!

That's one big monster!!! HOLY! I loved this episode, it felt so intense, heart warming & heart breaking all in one episode! I loved Henry & Sam, broke me to see how it ended. I think all of these events are shaping Joel & ellie as people as well as how they are with each other. I'm loving this show so much guys!! Really impressed with it so far.

Hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

This show holy moly heartbreak after heartbreak 😢 I can't find it on me to feel bad for Katherine her brother was a great man who forgave people and she just craps all over what he stood for , will murdering people bring him back NO he would be ashamed of her and I'm glad she got what she deserved. That giant whatever the heck it was is insane how do you stop something like that bigger guns or a tank perhaps 🙂 . once again a very sad ending that will you would think will have a lasting effect on both Ellie and Joel 😥 .

Just to get it out of the way, I did not like that opening. Portraying those that resist government attempts to control free citizens as murderous psychopaths feels like anti-freedom propaganda. No one will tell me what to or force me to do, say, think, or how to live. That is a hill I will happily die on. That being said, the depths of human cruelty are seemingly endless. I have my own thoughts on punishment for very specific crimes that sound fairly extreme in today's nonsensical society, but make sense to most normal people. As an aside, my vision has gotten to the point where I need glasses. I've used readers since 2016, and I've gone from 1.5 to 2.75. To see the unblurry reaction I have to be 10 inches away from the screen with my readers. Getting old is a strange adventure. Not sure why I get so personal in my comments, but perhaps it's a form of venting. Henry and Sam's relationship and interactions always had me with watery eyes. To be honest, I forgot about their appearance in the game, and their tale in the TV series is a bit fabricated, but it resonates with me and I'm very happy that they fleshed them out. Their love is palpable and so perfectly realized. At their ages, they obviously were born/grew up in the aftermath. Their initial encounter with Joel and Ellie was tense, and I was worried about Joel's reaction because he's impulsive. Obviously originating from Sarah's death. It was nice seeing Ellie interacting with Sam. She's been surrounded by adults for so long, I'm sure it was freeing to be with someone that was somewhat in her age group. I think Sam was 13 in the game, but obviously younger in the series, but Ellie and Sam definitely had a connection. This episode made me change my opinion of Melanie Lynskey as "Kathleen". I now understand her more, but also disagree with her regarding her brother. She's obviously misguided and wrong, but I get it. The penultimate scene with the infected attack was so anxiety-inducing, but Dak's reaction doubled it. Gigantor infected was impressive and terrifying. Probably the best action sequence so far. The scene that touched me the most was the "I'm scared of ending up alone" one. I'm in my 50s and am alone. It's a depressing situation as you can imagine, but I distract myself with collecting records and watching YouTube videos. I also haven't given up. Hope is always there and every day brings opportunities and possibilities. The most heartbreaking scene of the series so far was obviously the deaths of both Henry and Sam. The most heartbreaking reaction I've ever seen in all my years of watching YouTube is Dak's during those scenes. Excellent episode and superb reaction. Thank you Dak.
