Hello All!

OMG Wesley!!! That gun shot made me poop. I didn't expect to panic as much as I did about Wesley's well being - dont get me wrong I knew I liked him but the fear struck when he was shot & I truly realised how much i've grown to love that character! Interesting concept for this episode too. Nice to see Kate again & talking to Angel in a civil manner too. The trio really are super close, Charles was doing anything he could to help & Cordelia being as bad ass as ever. This show is picking up.

Hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

I really like most of this episode because it does have a lot of good aspects to it. It shows how bonded Wesley, Gunn, and Cordelia have become. It brings up real issues we deal with over here in the US. Not to mention the fact that it's very successfully tense and scary. That being said I really don't like how it ends. The way they end the episode with Kate essentially implying that maybe what those cops were doing was a good thing because it lowered crime without any real rebuttal from Angel annoys the hell out of me. Crime didn't go down because they were stopping criminals, it went down because the entire community was terrified and stayed in doors (as we saw in the episode). The cops were attacking people indiscriminately not just criminals but even if it was just criminals cops aren't supposed to be judge, jury, and executioner. Aside from all that I'm excited to see your reaction to the next episode (really the next two episodes because it's kind of a two-parter). It's actually one of my favourites but I can see you going either way on it lol. As always thanks for the reactions!

I think there's some facts that strict laws result in less crime. I liked that Gunn pointed out that some of his people aren't exactly innocent themselves. Sure there's a problem with untrained cops, specifically with de-escalating tactics/strategies; but I also don't buy the narrative that it's all one-sided "let's blame cops" narrative.

Cordelia and Gunn probably think The Powers That Be stepped in to kill the zombies which is why they don't even seem to question it, to them the supernatural is real, but they don't realize that it was Angel used as the instrument to end the crisis they were involved in. In the show lore "the powers that be" is God, but a fun way to look at it, especially though out this story of Angel is that "the powers that be" could simply also be breaking the 4th wall and referring to the writers of the show.
